In RightFax, when a query is submitted for a fax created after December 30, 2010, the query will not return a correct result. The tracking numbers for this issue are RF-5272 and RF-5280.

Systems Affected

  • OpenText RightFax 9.3, including all major service releases and hotfix levels.
  • OpenText RightFax 9.4, including all major service releases and hotfix levels.

Details

In RightFax, when a query is submitted on a unique ID using the Java/XML Application Programming Interface for a fax created after December 30, 2010, the query will not return a correct result. Instead, the query will return the result below

Impact

Back office fax solutions that rely on the Java/XML API query process to update the fax status will receive the query result -99 – No Information Found.  As a result, the fax status will not get updated. Depending on the configuration of the back office fax solution, this may result in the same fax being sent more than once.
